About Me

Shawn is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Reiki Master/Teacher, a Master Herbalist, and a Registered Nurse. She is a graduate of Knightsbridge Institute of Hypnotherapy and NLP, received her Bachelor's degree from Oregon Health Sciences University, and her herbalist diploma from the Australasian College of Health Sciences. Shawn has more than 25 years experience working with people to help them manifest healthy changes in their lives. Her approach to wellness is multidimensional, holistic, and client-empowering, integrating mind, body, and spirit. Shawn's practice, "A Healing Place", is conveniently located to serve the needs of clients in the South Metro area of Portland and northern Willamette Valley. Her office offers a safe and nurturing environment in the peaceful rural community of Canby, Oregon. Shawn specializes in assisting women regain control over pain, especially chronic pain, weight, fears and phobias, stress, anxiety, grief, confidence and self-esteem, and numerous physical health issues, including fibromyalgia, fatigue, and cancer recovery. As a holistic practitioner, Shawn uses a variety of modalities to generate a uniquely designed program to meet each client's needs. Drawing upon her years of clinical background, coupled with complementary methodologies and intuitive skills, she and her clients are able to achieve optimal health and wellness outcomes. Working within the framework of hypnosis and NLP, clients can access deep concentration and focused awareness to imagine desired results and unlock previously hidden potential. They can release emotional issues by going to the source, and attain life goals by reversing negative thought patterns and habits. Using Reiki, blockages in the body's energy field can be shifted. By selecting appropriate herbal remedies, one can restore the natural body and mind balance.
