Guided Imagery, which is a form of hypnosis, is an extremely effective way of easing, reducing, or  eliminating the effects of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.  Nausea, insomnia, anxiety, loss of appetite and pain, have proven to respond  well to Guided Imagery.   I offer private as well as small group sessions, in a healing environment, or in certain situations – at your home.  At NW Center for Hypnosis, you will begin a healing process of a new kind – one which begins in the subconscious mind, and continues  throughout the body,  to where it is specifically needed.   Guided Imagery is not a substitute for conventional medical treatment.    Hypnosis is a complement to  standard medical treatments.

The focus of my practice is in working with cancer patients, however, I also assist people making change for a healthier life,  such as smoking cessation, weight reduction, stress relief, easing  insomnia, and working through many other conflicts that may present in our lives.   Our subconscious mind is very quick to respond to positive suggestion, and certain unwanted behaviors can be permanently altered or affected quite easily and successfully.

It is important to keep in mind that all hypnosis is really self-hypnosis, with the hypnotherapist expertly facilitating.

I am pleased to offer a FREE 30-minute consultation to new clients.   I may be reached at 503.784.3863 or at www.nwcenterforhypnosis.com

Great post. You are going to help so many more people than you already do by putting this out there.
My family just lost a dear friend to cancer/chemotherapy 2 weeks ago. I had just started to try and open him up to the successes we have all had using hypnotherapy with cancer & chemotherapy – you know how not everybody is open to the idea. Well unfortunately I was too late. He went very fast, within two weeks, so we were at least thankful for that.
I know in my heart that it just wasn’t meant to be but It’s hard to see a family member or friend succumb to cancer when you KNOW there is this solution called hypnotherapy available.

In Memory of Steve: We all miss you very deeply, peace be with you my friend!

@Robert Bury – I am sorry that you lost a dear friend, but at least he went quickly. I hope that more and more people will be receptive to alternative methods of healthcare in general, and be open to this particular modality. I am looking forward to bringing comfort to many in the future. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you Pam! I do believe many are opening up to what works and what does not. Alternative methods will become recognized (with time) as the primary method status they rightfully deserve.

I am very pleased to have found your website. I am a Breast Health and Cancer Nurse Navigator working at a large medical center and feel your service may be a tremendous comfort and help to my patients. Side effects from chemotherapy, radiation, plus the anxiety associated with therapies have been proven through research to lessen with hypnotherapy. I would be interested in meeting with you to discuss your approach and outcomes with the possibility of my referral of patients to you. Please contact me by my email. Thank You.

Thank you for your comment! It would be a pleasure to discuss guided imagery for your patients, and I will contact you via email in the next day or so.

    Thanks again,
    Pam
