eyes Of all our five senses, the eyes are undoubtedly the most sensitive and perhaps the most amazing. It is with our eyes that we perceive the world,  and our visual senses are responsible for 4/5 of all the information our brain receives – it is no wonder why 70% of the population are visual. We rely on our eyesight more than any other senses.

Why is it detrimental to have healthy eyes? Well here are some cool eye facts:

  • The eyes are the most complex organs you possess except for your brain.
  • The eyes are composed of more than two million working parts.
  • The eyes can process 36,000 bits of information every hour.
  • The eyes contribute towards 85% of your total knowledge.
  • The eyes Utilize 65% of all the pathways to the brain.
  • The eyes can instantaneously set in motion hundreds of muscles and organs in your body.

Having good visual sight contributes to our whole mind-body function. The ability to see well may mean different things to different people. For instance, I know a person who is blind in one eye and had cataract surgery on the other. Its been over 6 months since the surgery but she is still complaining of pain. I believe she is unable to heal from such eye dis-ease because of her rigid opinions and self-righteous views. The holistic approach to understanding your eye health is essential by understanding how it started. Hypnotherapy can help you to go within and find the source of why your vision is impaired. Are you choosing to ignore something in life? Are you unable to see other people’s views? Does wearing glasses mean that you appear to be smart? Let hypnosis help you find the answer to your eye dis-ease. Your subconscious mind holds a belief that is limiting you from having perfect eyesight. If you are looking for a cost-effective way to improving your sight, seriously consider seeking a hypnotherapist. The reward in choosing hypnosis is that you will also learn something about yourself because of it. @Tracie Mahan – Tracie, the most pertinent of questions is, where do you recognize the aspect of your life where you feel most invisible?

  2. I appreciate looking at (no pun intended),the symbolic significance behind impaired eye sight. It has been proven that hypnosis can change your physiology which would include vision, hearing, speaking, etc. The use of Time Line therapy would be a great way to approach this aspect of the subconcious.

Feeling most invisible… Well, that will be interesting to explore. I am sure it will be a journey that will take me out of my comfort zone but if it will improve or correct my eye sight then I am ready to explore.

    Thanks Bunni.

    Hi Tracie,

Well, it is true that our ailments are typically a symbolic manifestation of an internal imbalance. Because our vision is our window to what’s outside of us and also what is within us; hence the saying ” the eyes are the windows to the soul”, we must take into consideration the symbolism behind it. Ask yourself, what am I hiding from that was so traumatic to me, or perhaps what am I so blind to all my life that I live in such denial? Most likely, somewhere along the line you will be able to identify with what troubles you but is buried so deep inside that you cant find it. Hypnosis will help to bring to the surface the underlying emotional reasons why. Well at least, the emotional release could free you in more ways than one.
