While weight loss and smoking cessation continue to be the most dominant issue for clients seeking hypnotherapy, I am seeing a steady rise of MAD, or Money Anxiety Disorder, among new clients. The use of hypnosis is gaining in popularity among business types desperate to overcome financial stress, according to a November report in The Wall Street Journal. The majority of my clients seeking hypnosis for financial problems, or the resulting stress and anxiety of financial problems, are female. Women often carry the brunt of the worry over job stability and health problems affecting their families. Money has been a safety net for many women, meaning that while they may not always be able to depend on people, they have always been able to count on their financial resources. Hypnosis cannot take your financial problems away, but it can decrease the degree of stress and anxiety that may lead to more serious health problems down the road. By using hypnotic suggestions and reframing stressful situations , my clients have been able to brave the storm with minimal discomfort.

    Debbie,

Braving the storm is a great way to put it. Hypnosis is very effective in helping to quiet the mind and stay in the eye of that storm so to speak. These are trying times and we can all use help staying calm in the mist of the stress and uncertainty.

    Keep up the great work.

  2. I think this is a great thing to serve up to business people who are stressed about their businesses or people working in the financial area. I reckon I could do with something like this…
